I think my novel might end up being a novella. I don't want to sacrifice quality for the sake of padding it with useless words. We'll see!

Amazing!!! I just finished it and loved it. Your best pieces always melancholy...real. I dare you to write a completely happy piece without coming across as cheesy and/or disney-esque (a little cheese is acceptable, I guess). How is Nano treating you?
